i’m stepping down from running dfd and i will no longer be dfd’s flynn.

i really love dfd and i think it’s a fantastic community. i love you all very much. it is however getting to be too stressful to maintain such a huge community with so many members coming and going. i’ve been doing it a very long time and dfd has gotten so big that i had to bring on two people to help me just so i’d have some time to maintain my flynn acct. it’s been a fantastic ride and even through the rough times i knew it was all worth it.

i feel like dfd is all grown up now and i’m leaving it in the capable hands of milo. he’s going to take GREAT care of you guys. i just know it.

my flynn acct will still be here and i’d love to rp with anyone from dfd that wishes to. we’re all free to rp with whom ever we want so lets do it :) and if you guys have any questions or concerns, please feel free to write me.

on that note, i’m going to be completely independent flynn for a short amount of time and then i’m going to get started on a new project. i’ve discovered that i enjoy the process of starting a community from a tiny seed and growing it into a network of rpers. it’s a lot of fun meeting new people. i have new ideas and new plans and i’m excited going forward.

so, i encourage everyone to do what makes them happy. rp is for fun so if you’re not happy, make a change. even if it’s a hard one.

Hey Flynn, and hey everyone. I’m not even sure where to start, wow. It’s certainly a sad thing to see such an important member of our family go, but it’s also exciting to see what new things they’re off to create! DFD will miss you, Flynn, but you also aren’t getting away from us that easy! I certainly intend to continue being friends with you, IC and OOC. I truly appreciate your confidence in me and I am definitely going to work hard for this great place. Thank you so much for the opportunity to give back to the community that has given so much to me.

The last comment you made truly says it all. RP is for fun, to be happy and find wonderful people, and sometimes times change and so do people, and that’s alright!

DFD is definitely going through a big change but especially after what Flynn said here, I really think DFD can only get better with change. I certainly feel much better about everything after the explanation! I’m happy Flynn has plans to pursue and that he’ll get a break from all the hard work he put into this for all of us and get some time to work on a new project he’ll enjoy. I know many of you will feel sad but like he’s said, this isn’t goodbye forever, it’s only a new start.

I am happy to stay here in DFD and to follow in Flynn’s footsteps, continuing to make DFD the best it can be. So don’t hesitate to contact me if you need anything, that’s what I’m here for! Thanks everyone, and thank you again, Flynn. For everything.

Awh man, Flynn, now you got me all emotional again and everything! <3 But honestly, I’m honored that you think so highly of me. And I meant every word. I can hardly express how I feel right now after hearing that. It’s good knowing we got each other’s backs! I really wish you all the best.
